Interview
So today me and my friend Franco had our first ever job interview, at the same place. It was a group interview and it was such a great experience. There were like 20 people. Me and Franco dressed alike sorta. We both wore plaid and have our nails painted the same way. We did it on purpose, of course, so we could stand out more. And we did! We got there at 6 pm and left at 9:30 pm. First we had to make a name tag and had a “photo shoot” so the manager can see our face along with our names when she looked over our applications. We applied for a Laser tag place, btw. So we all went into this ball pit and had to line up from youngest to oldest by our birth day, but we couldn’t talk to one another. So that was a challenge. Then the CEO talked to us for a little bit. Then we had to introduce ourselves and OF COURSE, I was picked first. So I introduced myself and this is what I said:
“Hi, I’m Carissa. I am a senior at Wekiva high school. I am on the Athletic Training team there and am also one of the captains. I am going to be a nurse. My favorite color is red. I am weird and crazy. I know how to have fun and take things seriously.”
So since I said I was crazy and weird, they liked that. They also liked that I want to be a nurse. Then we were all asked questions. Just random questions. I guess it was to see how creative and out of the box we think. Some got questions about them being a detective and figuring out a murder, others got what type of animal they’d be. I got two questions I had to answer. The first was about some bird flying at some velocity. I had no idea what the kid was talking about! I was sooooo confused. But I winged it and he liked my answer. The second was which one would I want to have, a lightsaber and jedi powers from star wars, wolverine claws and his powers, or world peace. I picked wolverine. And the employees there liked my answer, as well as the CEO. Then me and Franco had a dual question since they thought we were best friends and knew everything about each other. Franco had to answer what type of food I would want to be and she said a chicken breast. She was right. and I said mac n cheese for her. We both made good impressions. I really hope we get the job. It would be the best thing to happen during summer. They gave us a call back the day after for todays interview when we applied, so maybe I’ll get a call tomorrow?? Who knows! Wish me luck you guys :)
